18TH ANNUAL DAN JILEK 5K-VIRTUALLY RUNNING ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2020

This year the Dan Jilek Run will be run virtually on Sunday, October 4, 2020.  If you want to run earlier that works too!  Here is how it works:

1.  Run/Walk your own 5k.

2.  Post your results on this blog.

3.  Add a memory about Dan to your post.

We continue to support the Dan Jilek Hockey Tournament in Ann Arbor.  If you would like to donate to the Dan Jilek Memorial Fund, you may also do that this year so that the hockey tournament will continue. Your donation will cover your t-shirt as well.  The cost is 25.00, but feel free to add to your donation if you would like!   Please send your check made out to Dan Jilek Memorial Fund and include the size t-shirts you would like:

Child Small

 Child Medium,

Child Large

 Adult Small,

Adult Medium,

Adult Large,

Adult XL

Adult XXL

Please send checks (made out to Dan Jilek Memorial Fund) and sizes to:

Joyce Bayma

661 Baker St.

We will make the best of our Virtual Run and it will be fun to see all the places people ran/walked and their memories of Dan!  Please send orders in by Sunday, September 20th to insure having your t-shirt on time!  Thank you again so much for your continued love and support!

Sincerely,

Joyce Bayma

Completed the first segment of my Dan Jilek virtual biathlon and did a 6 mile walk around Lake St Clair Metropark. I hope to add a bike ride in the near future.

Did a 26 mile bike ride in honor of Dan.

Dan Memory: One U of M football Saturday Dan said I should sell my regular ticket and sit with him. On the way to our seats, Dan suggested a restroom stop and he led me into one near his long time seats. His mind must have been on the field because he took me into the ladies room. Dan made an athletic move and a quick exit. I have no athletic moves and the occupants probably thought I was lingering. There is a sign in the Michigan locker room that says "Those who stay will be Champions". I could have been arrested.
