Run Route

Here's the route for this year's Dan Jilek Memorial 5k Run and Walk.  We'll have as many volunteers as we can muster on the corners to keep everyone on track.

Registration Update!

Thanks to everyone who's pre-registered.  We currently have one extra large shirt remaining, thirteen medium, and thirteen large shirts remaining for pre-order.   There's three extra small, which would make a nice night shirt for the extra small kids in your life.  Small shirts are sold out!  If registration continues going as quick as it has, we'll be sold out of shirts by the day of the run!  Thanks for your support! 

Dan Jilek 5k Registration

Hello Everyone! The time and place have been set for the 7th Annual Dan Jilek Memorial Five K!

The run will take place on October 3rd, 2009, beginning at the Georgetown Country Club. More information will be added as we get the course details confirmed. The run is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM, so registration and sign-in will be open from 8:30AM to 9:30 AM.

As always, your registration fee includes a race shirt. But not just any shirt - we are excited to announce that shirts this year will be made of a moisture wicking material. ("Oooooooh! Ahhhhhhhhh!") Make sure and get your registration in early so we can have a shirt waiting for you! See below for exact sizing information. Find your size on the "Adult Styles" section at the top. Click the chart to expand.

Following the run, we will celebrate your accomplishment with food and drink, and present awards to winners in the junior, men, and women's categories.

So register now to be part of the fun and to make sure a shirt will be waiting for you! This year, registration is easier than ever with our new online registration form. We are also adding a new payment option this year - instead of paying by cash or check the day of the race, you can now choose to pay by credit card immediately following online registration via Google Checkout. A good time was had by all on a beautiful Sunday morning. The racers were fast and made the run look effortless! After running at a blazing speed the runners and walkers were treated to some tasty eats cooked by Ray and Joe B. Thank you to all the helpers for the race! We could not have done it without you. Thanks to Nicholas and Colleen for designing the shirts and taking care of registering everyone, keeping time and posting accurate results! Thanks to Linda H. for her long list of duties including rising at dawn, carting items and helping to keep everyone's time. Thanks, of course to Joe B. who does so much without a complaint-loading, moving stuff, cooking and wrapping up! You are all the best. Love to all!

The Govenor's Council endorses the Dan Jilek Memorial Run

By the way, there will be 2 races going on Sunday, the U of M Dance Marathon is running a race too! Make sure you sign up under the Dan Jilek sign. We look forward to seeing everyone.
